A Goal For The Week

A goal for the week is a challenge to pick one thing you would like to have changed in your life.

This will require you to change your thought and keep it changed.  Change your perception, belief, self-talk, concepts of this situation/condition that is no longer doing anything for you in a positive manner.

Be willing to give it, the condition,  up and focus you attention on having that specific good in your life.

Create an affirmation for yourself and repeat it as often as you would like.  Visualize yourself enjoying this particular good and the joy of being free from the confines of past thoughts and beliefs that have inhibited you from a fuller expression of life.

Do not doubt or negate your new train of thought and should you have a twinge of negativity reaffirm your good.

Conceive this new idea, Believe in it and you will Achieve it!

I know you are successful in this endeavor and have accomplished the manifestation of this good in your life now.

Powerful Thoughts, Powerful Words-Part 1 of 2

The basis of positive and effective thinking concerns our ability to understand the active power within us, although it may appear to be latent, of our feeling nature, deeply held beliefs, thoughts and words, which create our life experiences.

In an ancient text, The Kybalion, we read, “as above, so below, as below, so above.”   We may also state, As Within, So Without.  In Isaiah, I paraphrase, “So shall my word go forth to accomplish that for which I have sent and shall not return unto me void.”   In the New Testament we read, “It is done unto us as we believe.”  The spiritual aspect has always been addressed by those who have taught and wrote on the subject matter of positive thinking. We have direct information about how powerful we are to bring forth the life we choose.  From ancient texts and teachings we are told that life is lived from within, out.  That our thoughts, beliefs, concepts, words have more power than we realize.  We are not created to be in bondage to lack and limitation but to realize a life of abundance, well-being.  It is time to take action and stop allowing ourselves to wallow in the well of despair and drink the bitter waters of our own creation.  We are created and worthy to be rich, prosperous, abundant, healthy, and happy, love and be loved, and all the good life has to offer. We are created to express life in a bountiful manner.

Well, how about Karma?  We have the power and ability to change our karma. We are not stuck with karma…karma is a learning experience and just like history, if we don’t learn from it we are destined to repeat it.  So if we are constantly experiencing the same effects in our life that we are not thrilled with, time to change the cause; our thoughts and beliefs concerning the situation and to be vigilant about the words we speak and our self-talk concerning said situation(s).

As we know, our life experiences reflect back to us our core beliefs about ourselves, life, people, events, situations and the world around us.  We call this by different names: The Law of Cause and Effect, The Law of Attraction, The Law of Reflection, Mental Equivalents, Magnetic Thought, Mirroring, etc. Call it what you want. Life will always become that which we believe it to be, no more and no less.  “Nothing escapes the Principle of Cause and Effect, and one may use the laws of the higher to overcome the laws of the lower.”—The Kybalion

If we are holding onto guilt about a situation time to forgive ourselves, those involved and the situation itself.  Holding on to guilt/anger/upset wears us down and keeps us from achieving our goals of living a fuller, healthier, positive and creative life of well-being. We are not going to forgive; we are letting the power of the Spirit of Life (God) do the forgiving. In letting go of guilt/anger/upset there is a simple and positive statement you can use. “I now bless, release and forgive myself with the Unconditional Love and Forgiveness of God and I bless, release and forgive (person or persons, places, situations) with the Unconditional Love and Forgiveness of God.”  This is a short note for your reference and will be addressed more in-depth at a later time.

This is the end of Part 1, Part 2 follows tomorrow. Jay

Powerful Thoughts, Powerful Words-Part 2 of 2

My Success

My success is based on my beliefs and knowing I am worthy of success in life.

My success is not dependent on outside conditions, by statistics, or by other’s thoughts and beliefs.

My success is based on my positive beliefs, concepts and attitudes.

My success is based on being thankful for all that is in my life.  Some experiences so wonderful words cannot explain them; some present opportunities which challenge me to think differently and reevaluate the direction I need to move in. I am successful and thankful as I learn from my life experiences.

My success is based on my belief in myself, my talents and my abilities.

My success is based on my belief that I am drawn to the right people, places and things at the right time for my success.

My success is based on my belief that I am a valuable, successful individual and a mentor to others on the pathway to success.

My success is based on my belief that my thoughts, beliefs and concepts are creative forces in my life.

My success is based on my ability to let go of the past and move forward to live a full and prosperous life.

I am successful because I am me.

You are succesful and it is my pleasure to tip my hat to you and your great achievements!!

Overnight Success

Overnight Success is condensed from a chapter I wrote.

A  few years ago I had the opportunity to talk with a swimsuit model, who was returning from a shoot south of the border.

As our conversation progressed to being a successful model she laughed and said, “I’m an overnight success and it only took me ten years,” she smiled and laughed again.  From that point on we talked about the road to success, the ups and downs of the modeling world, the hard work and dedication, photo shoots and the like.  It was both an enlightening and enjoyable conversation.

When we seek success it a takes not only our mental and creative abilities, it also includes the physical effort we put forth: the  long hours, days filled with research and development, phone calls, texts, e-mails, letters, driving to meet with investors (banks), manufacturers, and perhaps shedding some tears.   We learn to deal with frustration, the importance of stepping back to breathe, re-evaluate, REST, and staying healthy-on all levels.  Success demands that we take time to renew ourselves mentally, see our vision of success in a new light, do our daily meditation and affirmations to keep us focused and open to new avenues for achieving our success.  Being open-minded is essential, for there is more than one way to a successful and prosperous life.

We have dedicated ourselves to being successful which entails being able to change up the thought process when necessary and being steadfast in our belief in ourselves and our venture, even when things seem the darkest.

It is important for us to keep focused on our goal(s), keep our thoughts and vision on a positive note, watch the self-talk for any negative comments we may be making to ourselves and viewing the obstacles along the way as teachers from which we learn what does not work and what does work and the new ideas, beliefs and concepts we can glean from this particular experience.

You are the success you dream of…Jay
