Accomplishment   Today’s Positive Thought is by J. K. Rowling.

“We do not need magic to transform our world.  We carry all of the power we need inside ourselves already.”

One Red RoseToday’s Positive Thought is, Magic, by, Unkown.  This is a favorite and so very true.  Jay

It costs so little, I wonder why

We give so little thought;

A smile, kind words, a glance, a touch,

What magic by them is wrought.

Goal 4   Today’s Positive Thought is by Goethe.

Are you in earnest?  Then sieze

    this very moment.

What you can do, or dream you can,

   begin it;

Boldness has genius, power and magic in it;

   only engage then the mind grows heated;

Begin, and then the work will be completed.

Have been watching the holiday movies from way back when…one of my favorites is the 1947 version of “Miracle On 34th Street.”  Yes, it is a feel good movie and reignites the magic of the holiday season.  A season of light and love.

At this holiday of light take time to enjoy the deeper meaning of the season. So, as you sip on your hot cocoa or egg nog let the magic of the season fill you and lead you to greater living and being.

Today’s Positive Thought

   Today’s Positive Thought is by Dr. Venice Bloodworth.

This is about the story of Aladdin and his magic lamp.

“The lamp represents the conscious mind, the rubbing of the lamp means understanding, the genie represents the subconscious mind, that mighty power within yourself waiting for recognition and unfoldment, that when aroused and used will bring you to the realization of your fondest dreams.”

Magic

    Magic is defined, in my dictionary, as; “Any mysterious and overpowering quality that lends singular distinction and enchantment.”

Today’s Positive Thought deals with the power of magic, in part a random act of kindness, suchas saying, “Hello,” to a perfect stranger.  What power lies in that simple word and what good it does for them and for you.  You never know who you will meet, talk with or the relationship you may create by that simple, “Hello.”  While at a coffee shop I said, “Hello,” to a gentleman who seemed to be going through a tough time.  We sat and talked for a time and then went our separate ways.  He thanked me and said what had been shared helped with what he was currently dealing with in his life.  I have never seen him again. What random acts of kindness we can generate with a word, a smile or convey with a touch.

Many years ago while walking out of the post office there was an elderly woman walking bent over with a cane.  I said, “Hello,” and ask how she was doing.  She stood up straight, smiled, replied, “Hello and thank you for asking.”  As we passed each other I looked back and she was walking tall into the post office.  What a change this simple, “Hello,” made for that wonderful lady and for me. This is true magic, the ability to transmute a situation into a wonderful positive experience for both individuals.

The magic of life is in the thinking and in the action of our thoughts and beliefs to transmute a situation from a negative to a positive.

Life presents us with some unique opportunities to challenge our beliefs, challenging us to take charge of our thinking and direction.  Time to wave the magic wand and watch what happens.  The magic wand is the power of our mind and our ability to take charge of the situation and refuse to give into appearances, remembering we are not controlled by the outer but the inner.  Sometimes remembering this can be tough, especially when we feel overwhelmed and as if we are being barraged by all that is happening around us.  This is when we do our magic.  Take a step back from the situation, close our eyes, take a very deep breath, get centered in our thoughts, reclaim our power and move forward with a new view, attitude and perspective, of the situation. In doing so, we take control of ourselves and act rather than to continue to react.

You are magical.  You are filled with the magic of thought and belief which transmutes situations from negative to positive.  Wave your magic wand, be resolute about changing the situation and pull that rabbit out of your hat.

Time to be in awe of the magic you can do.
