Forest   Today’s Positive Thought is by Jay.

The more we resist something the more power we give it, as it becomes a point of focus.  In learning to let it go we take our power back and are creating a new causation for a new and positive effect.

Life In December

By: Jay

The end of the year is upon us.

For many it consists of sending holiday cards and gifts, weaving through crowded parking lots hoping and praying that a parking space opens up near the store or mall entrance.  Some are getting all the food and ingredients for holiday festivities and family gatherings.  Some of us are traveling to see family and/or friends for the holiday(s).  Some are staying home and having a quiet celebration.  We are all busy one way or another.

Over the past year we have all had challenges in some area of our life, i.e. health, financial, work, etc.

As we move through this “uniqueness” and range of emotions we focus on moving forward and setting goals for the rest of the year and the New Year.  It is important for us not to get so caught up in the problem that we are unable to see the forest for the trees.  The more we focus on the not so wonderful situations the more prevalent and intense they become.

Thus, the reason for this article.  No matter what comes down the pike it is how we decide to handle said situation.  We can either react or act.  The choice we make is important.  By reacting we are allowing the situation to control us; by acting we are taking control of the situation.  This is not to say we aren’t experiencing a slight panic or full range of emotions, it means we are deciding not to allow our emotional state to dictate the goings on.

So, on your Holiday To Do List take a bit of time for yourself and think of the goals you want to set, breathe, relax a bit, get focused and move forward with a song on your lips and in your heart.

Celebrate the beauty of life that is within you and let that glorious light of yours shine to the world and behold the miracle of you.

Let your light so shine…

Today’s Positive Thought

Goalpost   Today’s Positive Thought is by Jay.

This is the end of the week.  Time to let go of all the “stuff” that you have been carrying all week-long.  Let today be the day you change your point of focus for greater success, stop the “I can’t” and get on with “I can.”

Today is your day.  Create the goal, See it as done, Accept that it is now in your life.

Conceive It, Believe It, Achieve It.

Have a great weekend.

Business Strategy

I have been listening to a business strategy meeting that is filled with confusion.

Where did this confusion come from?  From being scattered, loss of focus of the goal/end result, not listening to their intuition and just plain not listening to each other.

What amazed me is, these are well-educated business people who have lost focus and are in the midst of a mental maze that is going nowhere fast, entering the never-ending circle of confusion.

Should we find ourselves in this type of situation we need to step back, take a couple of deep breaths, clear our heads and proceed with focus, clarity of thought and listen.  At times, easier said than done.

 Three points to remember:

1.  Have clarity in your thinking before entering the meeting.

Being clear in our thinking and level-headed is a big plus in our favor when at a strategy meeting.

2. Focus on the goal(s), the end result.

When we are focused and open to new ideas and ways of achieving the goal(s), flexibility, there is an order in our             thought process which allows us a clarity to move forward in a more succinct manner.

 3.  Listen.  The key to achieving a goal in a group is listening!

Everyone likes to share their ideas on how to achieve the end result.  Listen to the ideas being shared and see if they are viable as is or in need of modification to achieve a successful result.

Many have found listening to their intuition in such matters has reaped great rewards.

Continued Success In All Your Endeavors.

Pay Attention To Your Attention

Pay attention to your attention and where you have it directed.  Often we are not aware of what we are giving our attention, be it a negative or positive direction.

Where we place our focus, our attention, is what we will experience in living our life.  It becomes an order, an arrow pointing the way, to our subconscious mind to follow and act upon.

Today, take a moment and heed where your attention is focused.  Is it on a positive and uplifting experience or is it on a negative and downtrodden path of life?

Lift up your mind, your thoughts, to the highest and best life has to offer this day, this very moment, for unexpected good and success to appear at unexpected times and places.

Pave the path of your life with golden thoughts and beliefs and let the opportunities unfold and enrich your living experiences.  The Law of Cause and Effect, The Law of Correspondence, The Law of Attraction, will do the rest.  Sit back relax and be thankful for all that is taking place on both the invisible and visible sides of life for your life of success and well-being.

Miracles

Miracles.  Many years ago there were a few of us who entered the ministry within a few months of each other.  One of those was our friend, Rev. Helen; she, at that time, had a church in Hawaii.  While we were on holiday there we met for lunch one day.  As a preface to this let me state, we were/are practitioners of a spiritual healing technique call Spiritual Mind Treatment.  In order to enter the ministry one had to have proof of at least three individual documented case histories that had a healing; with doctor confirmation that the condition no longer existed, or other verifiable documentation. Helen, being innovative and one to speak her mind, called miracles “ordinaries,” as they happen all the time in life, both my wife and I were really impressed with her new word and shared it with my congregation upon our return home.

Miracles are “Ordinaries” in which both of us believe as well as Divine Intervention.

Just look at what we say when we find a parking space near a mall entrance at holiday times, “It’s a miracle I found this space.”  Think about it…how many times do you say, “It’s a miracle,” more than once in awhile I’ll wager.

Some years ago I saw an older gent collapse, through all this we had direct eye contact, a doctor who saw the event took his vitals and told those who were there to render aid that the older gentleman had passed on; no attempt to revive him.  Having worked in a hospital I was familiar with the look of death in the eyes, which he had. Still maintaining eye contact and as many watched the goings on his body suddenly arched and life returned to him and his eyes.  It was not his time and that my friends, was an awe inspiring experience for me. Miraculous, yes, it was an Oh My God Moment to the nth degree.

Miracles are not out of the ordinary, in fact throughout the ages we have been told that we are capable of many things and are powerful if we have but the “faith of a grain of mustard seed.”   The miracles we seek are at our finger tips, so to speak, the miracle power resides within our hearts and minds. The miracle is but our recognition of the divine power within us to bring forth that which we have believed without question.

Take time to consider your inner power, the power of your spoken word, and ability within you to live the life you choose, to be as successful as you desire, to be; prosperous, wealthy, healthy, and the like.  Focus on where you want to go and stop looking at what you don’t want. Give your undivided attention to your forward moving desire/goal and stay the course.  I paraphrase Isaiah, “So shall my word go forth to accomplish that for which it was sent and it shall not return unto me void.”

By no means are you ordinary.  You are an extraordinary expression of Life Itself, experiencing lots and lots of wonderful “ordinaries.”

In loving recognition and memory of a very dear friend, Rev. Helen.

Feel Like

Ever feel like you are in the  Sahara Desert?  All dried up and withering in the hot sun and stung by the wind blowing sand at you?  When we are feeling sorry for ourselves and all that we are going through an oasis suddenly appears in the middle of it all, giving us; hope, water, shade, date palms and most of all rest from the weariness of all that is going on in our life.

What is this oasis?  It is our inner self beckoning us to rest and partake of the offerings at this oasis to become revitalized, reinvigorated, energized to move forward with a new inner fortitude to overcome the so-called problems/challenges and be renewed in our mind.  We are reminded of our own power and abilities to live life fully, completely and most of all filled not only with a sense of well-being but a life of well-being.  This includes success in being us and prospering by our new attitude and vision of successful living from plain and ordinary to the grandeur of life and all the perks that go with it.  It is at this point we decide, enough already, get off the pity pot and get moving.

The oasis and well-spring of life is within us, it is our spirit.  It is that which knows that we know that all is possible to us. We can be, have and accomplish whatever it is we desire, no limits.  The green and coolness of the oasis bids us to stay and drink from the well-spring which gives us inspiration, focus, direction and has imbued us with the power and authority to champion our lives.

The well-spring of this beautiful oasis is forever within us and when we need to rest, regroup and refocus it is always there for us to visit and relax from the all that is going on in our lives.  As we lean against the palm tree, enjoying the sweetness of its fruit and support, a new inspiration will enrapt us and lead us forward.

So if you feel you are in the middle of a desert, look up and nearer than you think is the oasis you are looking for.  Stop and refresh yourself.  Let this oasis breathe a fresh breath of life into you through inspiration and inner knowing while you are savoring the sweet dates and shade of the palm tree.

You deserve the highest and best life has to offer.  Enjoy the journey on the new road of inspiration, focus and direction.
