Today’s Positive Thought

Tday Flwrs   You are as the bud of a flower awaiting your time to bloom.  Bask in the Light and bloom into the vibrant, colorful and beautiful expression of life that you are.  Your time is here and it is now.

Today’s Positive Thought is by, Jay.

Celebrate You

Time to celebrate you and all that you are, life is too short to be lived with regrets of “what would’ve been” or “what I would’ve achieved,” age is not a factor.

Celebrate you, your uniqueness, and your differences.  None of us is the same; none of us will achieve the same way as another. Each of us has our own special talents and abilities and will achieve accordingly, be thankful for the differences.  Life is not to be a boring, lackluster experience but be an invigorating and colorful experience that celebrates your life and living.  Emerging from the dark and dank shadows of “what if…” a new day dawns and life takes on a whole new meaning, glistening with and presenting new possibilities and opportunities.   Time to be willing to try something new, a new approach to life, a new approach to problem solving, a new approach to expressing the unique and wonderfully creative individual you are!

As we begin to express our creative talents and abilities, newness enters our life in a variety of ways most of which may come as a surprise to us.

Live your life; celebrate you and all that you are.  You are You and no one can take your place, so enjoy being you and be thankful for all that you are and all that your life is.

Baubles And Beads

Bells, whistles, feather boas, colorful baubles and beads, sequins, sparkles and all out gaudy make for a very colorful and unique day.  How colorful is your day?

We tend to get into a rut with everyday living and working.  Wouldn’t you like to jazz it up a bit?  I realize hanging a fuchsia feather boa on your chair or around your neck and Mardi Gras beads off the corners of the cubicle or picture are not the norm or even allowed in many workplaces, hence we are relegated to jazzing up our mind with the color and energy of positive and creative thoughts.

As we jazz it up, up there, it provides us with a wonderful feeling, permeates all we do and who we are–time to; end the drabbiness (my word), add color, energy, and sparkle to our being.  As we sparkle things up, up there, we glow, we effervesce and are open to new perspectives on life, answers to questions and problems appear with creative ways and resolutions.

Life is about being, being us, without creating too much of a stir, ahem, don’t want to scare people.  Coming from an artistic family (music, art, design) I like the classics and the different that has a style and co-ordination to the scheme/theme of the work.  Sometimes even the extremely outrageous finds a place in my “like” arena of life.  The point is, we are each unique individualized expressions of Life Itself.  Each of us is creative in our own ways.   In being successful it is important to be true to ourselves and not sacrifice ourselves just to succeed and be miserable.  Miserable is not part of successful living.

If we want true success and well-being in our life it is important for us to live our life and too, add color and dimension to our being.  Time to go from 1D to 3 D.

The gaudy bling dresses up the outside for “looks” but the real glitter and sparkle of life takes place within each of us.  Add a touch of color and sparkle to your day today.  Dare to be colorful you–without creating too much of a stir and should people look at you askance–smile and nod and let them wonder why it is you are so excitingly you.

Ups And Downs

Life is filled with ups and downs and once we weather a storm in our life and the dark clouds dissipate a colorful rainbow appears and gives us not only the hope to carry on but the persistence not to let a temporary set back impede our progress forward to a more rewarding life.

I took this photo, when we were in Southern California, after a rain storm.  The rainbow brightened up the day as we had just left a doctor’s office with a loved one.  What a wonderful statement in the sky of hope and joy.

Contrary

Contrary.  I want to be contrary.  I want to be fictional rather than a non-fictional character.  I want a better life.  I want a different life.  I want….

Ok.  So, you don’t want to be the you you think you are.  You want to be who you really are, a unique and uniquely successful character, do I have that right?

Alright, then let us begin the journey into the world of make-believe or is it; haven’t quite figured that out yet.  Yep, imagination incorporated is now engaged in creating your new you, you dashing character you.  Did you bring your list to submit?  Have you definitely decided on the avenue you want to follow to this new you?  Are you now ready to discard the old clothes that cloaked your real you, your new you?  You know, that designer stuff really looks good on you, but I digress.  Back to the start.  Accept who you are and know you are okay just the way you are…gotta be okay where you are at in order to move forward into the new, well dressed, exciting you.

Be contrary, be daring, fling yourself out into the new and different…recreate, redesign is the order of the day.  Find your character!

Time to utilize your fantastical imagination, ah what the heck, fantasize about the new life and new you and have a good time.  Laugh at the ridiculous, squeal with delight, let your imagination run wild and then pick out the stuff that is really important and set it up as a destination and see it completed in that unique and colorful imagination of yours.  Gotta have color and sparkles and bright shiny stuff, dress it up to the max and have a good time with it.  Then when all is said and done…let it go and be thankful that imaginative process has given your thought stuff to the ethers to carry to the great stuff maker and let it come to pass.  You notice I say, let…you have to release  those exciting imaginings and thoughts to that invisible maker and let it do what it does best, deliver on time and in ways you are not even aware of.

Go for the gold you fictional non-fictional character you!

Enjoy the travels.

Baubles And Beads

Quite Contrary

There is a child’s rhyme which poses a question to a young lass, by the name of Mary, who apparently is quite contrary, how does her garden grow?

Well, how does our garden grow?

We all know when left unattended gardens and flower beds fill with weeds which overtake and choke the life and beauty out of the gardens and flower beds.

I remember my aunt weeding her flower beds every weekend.  The flowers were always beautiful and colorful.  As we weed out the negatives and fears that reside in our mind, we blossom into a beautiful and colorful expression of a life of abundance, beauty, prosperity and success.  Life is vibrant and so are we.

So, what about us?  Are we ready to weed our mental garden and let the beauty and vibrancy of life appear?

Just as in weeding a garden we start in one area and take it one step at a time.

Perhaps as we think about where to begin we have a revelation of what is going on that is constricting our living and receive an inspiration or two on how to move forward…finding the inner fortitude of, “I am not going to take this anymore” attitude; which is the impetus to jettison the garbage, weedy, thoughts and beliefs that have been hindering our blossoming success.

Life, as we all know, takes us at our own valuation.  As we weed out those strangling thoughts and beliefs we see a ray of light and improvements arising in our life.  We fertilize and water our mental garden with positive thoughts and blossoming new concepts about ourselves and our world

No one can make us change.  It is our decision whether we want to or not.  When we finally get tired of existing and decide to step up and forward to new and more profitable ways of being and living, then and only then will we initiate the weeding process and change  our life.

Our starting point is positive affirmations, using them daily and throughout the day as needed for positive re-enforcement. Visualization is a technique we can use to help us see where we want to be and enjoying the successful results.  Handing ourselves a congratulatory bouquet of roses is a way of showing our love and appreciation of ourselves in this endeavor.

Affirm your self-acceptance, self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth.  You were not created for mediocrity but for success.  You are meant to be prosperous and to live well.

We are more than adequate to be successful, no matter what we have been told, no matter where we are in life.  Many years ago I attended a talk by Og Mandino.  He was at one time successful, ended up living on the streets, went to end his life but…he became a well-known author and speaker.  There are those who read this blog who have been down and out, on the skids, and are now successful and mentoring others along the way.

How many inspirational people do you know other than yourself?  Inspirational people are all around us if we but look and listen.  Look at your life; what you have been through, what you have accomplished, what you have survived.

You are a phenomenal representation of life.  Don’t ever forget it and don’t ever give up on yourself!  Give yourself the credit due you.  Yeah, we’ve all had mistakes and problems which have occurred in our life, which was in the past.  Let go of  the past, and move on with living and flowering into a new vibrant exciting you.  Wallowing in the muck and mire of the past is not profitable; learn from it and move forward in living your life.

Look forward to the day, look forward to new beginnings.  Remember, you are a winner and never forget it.

Life is wonderful and so are you!!

Your Affirmation: I am a success now and no-thing can stop me from having  and accomplishing greater good in my life.”
