Judgments

I attended a function, recently, where some sat in judgment of others before even getting to know them or their history. Once they learned of the challenges these individuals overcame to arrive at this point in their lives and careers they were contrite.  It truly saddened me at how these wonderful people were treated at the beginning of this function.  It did conclude on a very happy note for everyone.

In speaking to one individual, concerning overcoming challenges we face in life, in general terms, we both agreed that persistence and dedication to moving forward in life are two important keys to successful living and a successful career.  Life is what we make it.  Each of us has our challenges to overcome and each of us have conquered hurdles in our life, of which we should be proud of ourselves in our moving forward

Successful living is taking one step at  a time toward our goals and desires, learning along the way, what works for us and what doesn’t work for us on the road to greater well-being and success.

I congratulate you on all you have overcome in life and your dedication and persistence to continue living in a positive and prosperous manner.

New Chapter

Congrats Toast   This past Saturday a chapter of my life was closed, a bit overdue, and a new chapter opened with new career paths.  New Endings and New Beginnings were the order of the day.  There was a celebration that included the ending of the old and welcoming the new with friends from both past and present.  A bright and sunny future greeted me with; open arms, new friends and colleagues.

Opportunities are on the rise and I look forward to investigating them all.

I was a bit hesitant about the closing of this last chapter in my old life and had to make a decision to be true to myself, my desires, my dreams, while setting goals along the way.

Life is always giving us cues and clues about the changes that will bring us more joy and happiness in our life and in our relationship with ourselves, family, friends and colleagues.  It all depends on when we are ready to gird our loins and move forward into a new life experience which will bring us great fulfillment as an individual.

One of my favorite partial quotes is by Wm. Shakespeare, “To be or not to be…”  I chose to be me.  Not always the easiest decision to make when it affects all areas of your life.

The journey ahead is filled with excitement and newness.  This new life has been tugging at me for quite a few years and it appears the decisions made were at the right time.

I wish you continued success on your journey to being you and to all you set your mind and hands.

Powerful Thoughts, Powerful Words-Part 2 of 2

The following is an example of the power in our words. While I was out having a cup of coffee, a person was lamenting about everything in their life, talked about trying to get other people to change, to suit their belief, because they believe they are right about everything, had to know all that went on in everybody’s life and comment on it, etc. They could not understand why others don’t like them, imagine that…hmmm.  Plus they were recruiting someone for a multilevel company and really didn’t convey the purpose, intent or anything else about said company.  You may be wondering how I know this. Well, they were speaking so loud I could not help but hear them no matter where I moved in the shop.  This person is truly using their power in a not so positive way to continue the experiences they have been lamenting about for the past 45 minutes.  Talk about negative reinforcement.  The point is: the more someone focuses on the negatives, the more intense they will become, “and even that which they have shall be taken away.”

None of us can really afford to let our negative concepts, prejudices, and the like to continue to hold us back from a better life; a life filled with prosperity, wealth, money, success, health and well-being.  Negativity puts a stranglehold on us and our ability to be happy with our life and in creating a new and better life for ourselves; which directly and indirectly affects those around us and restricts the good we can give back to world. It will also effect/affect our job/career.  This is not the thought atmosphere, aura, to project to the world if we want to achieve to greater heights in living our life.

To change our thinking, our beliefs and concepts will take us time as we implement the new and eradicate the old which has hampered our well-being and achieving a better life.

The more we loose the old the more we start to live the life we desire.

Our words and thoughts have power and when we put feeling into them they manifest much faster.  Conceiving the Idea (Desire/Dream); Believing in the Desire/Dream – a the key to making it come true; Achieving the Dream – making it a  reality in our life gives us a most wonderful and fantastic feeling, allowing us to see the invisible thought and word take form in the visible.  Wow!

We were not created to be a lump on a log and watch the parade of life pass us by while we bemoan our state of affairs.  It is nice once in awhile and perhaps necessary to watch the parade from the sidelines for a short period of time…but, we need to jump up, bang our own drum and join in the celebration before things get out of hand and leave us in a more dire state.  Remember when Dolly sings, Before The Parade Passes By, from the musical Hello Dolly, “Before the parade passes by I’m going to put some life back into my life.”  It is time to put some more life back into our life and let that ethereal dream appear in visible form to be a highlight in our living experience.  Life can be a dream but not taking action leaves that dream castle up in the air and us in swampland.  Dream the dream you desire and follow it to fruition, don’t get derailed, stay the course and get creative in achieving the end result.  Enjoin the power of thought and spoken word to set the course for actualizing the dream into form.

Powerful Thoughts, Powerful Words-Part 1 of 2

YOU ARE AMAZING!

You are amazing!  We are amazing humans-being!  What we are being is up to our creative imagination.

Do you remember when you were but a little tyke what you wanted to be when you grew up?  Boy, I know my imagination was really active about a career path…how about you?  I wanted to be a cop, a fireman, a garbage collector – I thought it was cool to see the men riding on the outside of the garbage truck; at one point I wanted to be a doctor or a vet, a puppeteer-I wrote dialogue for puppet characters and presented shows in elementary school, actor, writer, chef.

Time to be a kid again.  Now let us use our creative imagination and play the game “Make-Believe.”  “Make-Believe” was one of the games my cousin and I created and played.  We would come up with a variety of ideas and begin to ad lib about being famous, traveling all over the world, all the things each of us dream about when we are children.

Ok.  I have a “what if” question for you.  “What if” you dreamed your dream and it became a reality?  Our creative imagination is the impetus to living a better life.  If we can imagine it and really want to go for it, we can.  When we read or hear the phrase, “Life is what we make it,” why not imagine a better life and cease to imagine the not so good continuing in our life.

Wanna play “Make-Believe” with me?  Can your imagination come out and play?

What is needed is a piece of paper and a number 2 pencil or fountain pen; sorry, those old school days are making an appearance.  Below is what you need to play.  Writing  down these “things” helps to reinforce them in your mind.

1. A very active and creative imagination.

2. A sheet of paper.

3. A pen or pencil.

4. Write down, with complete abandonment, your “Make-Believe” “things” you want to achieve and/or experience.

5. Using your creative imagination visualize these things coming to pass.  Do so with a happy and thankful heart, a smile on your face, see yourself laughing and really enjoying yourself with all these “things” of “Make-Believe.”

If you desire to have more money in your life, see yourself, literally rolling in dough (monetary kind).  Envision yourself throwing all this money up in the air and enjoy watching it flutter down ,around and to you and all the good you can do with it for yourself and others.

If it is for health, see yourself healthy and enjoying your life.

For success, see how you look and feel about being successful in your endeavor; and all you are doing with your success for yourself, others and the world around you.  I am sure you get the picture…so let the game begin!

As you write down your “Make-Believe” list, believe in it as a child would; with all your heart and all your mind without question.  Remember this is playtime and you get to be a kid again and happily believe upon a star.

6. When you have written down your list, as detailed as reasonably possible, fold it up and put it in a favorite book or place that reminds of you good things and happiness when you look at it.   If you get down just remember your “Make-Believe” list with a smile and believe.

7. YOU ARE AMAZING!    Your list is phenomenal and filled fun and great things.  You are really good at this game!

8.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES. THANKS

Comments will only be posted upon your request.

You are an amazing human-being!
